Heritage Day, 24 September, is a public holiday in
South Africa. Citizens are encouraged to celebrate their cultural heritage and
the diversity of their beliefs and traditions, in the wider context of a nation
that belongs to all its people.
We encourage all South Africans to at some point during 24
September each year on National Braai Day, gather around a fire and braai.
